Medical cannabis legislation has been a crucial issue in Peru in recent years. With the amendment of Law No. 30681 and the creation of new regulations, the Peruvian government has taken important steps towards more robust cannabis regulation. This article examines the legislative advances, the implications for patients and the opportunities for the domestic industry. We also address the challenges that remain and how society and governments can work together to move forward.
